Thanks Family!

Today, I wanted to touch on why I have chosen to address you all as family.  There are many different terms of endearment that one can address those that he/she cares about, but for me, personally, it doesn’t get much better than referring to someone as "family". Growing up in a small town in central Pennsylvania, if there was one thing that everyone had in common it was the strong connection that most had with their friends and family. The responsibility of helping someone in need was a natural occurrence. Being the oldest of four, I was able to see just how much impact a few simple words of support had for someone who needed to hear them and what that did for me was absolutely incredible.

I am reminded every day of the honor and pleasure of having the capability to change someone’s day for the better. It is contagious and it really begins with each of us individually. Simply ask yourself, "If I had the ability to change someone’s day for the better, would I?” Now, let’s be clear, you absolutely do have the ability to do so the question really is will you?

The concept of family reminds me that it is of the utmost importance to always be ready to contribute to others, to help someone feel just a little better about themselves or just simply understand what they may be going through in their lives as we are all part of a larger family unit, the human race. 

Believe it or not, your kindness and contribution to others is also kindness and contribution right back to yourself. So, thanks family! Thank you for giving me a few minutes of your time every single Monday. Thank you for giving me the chance to help you start your week off on a great note. Thank you for continuing to challenge yourself, and for perusing this search of a better you.
