The Old Switcharoo!
You have been trying to figure out why your energy levels aren't like they used to be. You have been resorting to quick boosts such as caffeine or perhaps a few handfuls of cold water to the face! I'm sure I'm not the only one that has hit that brick wall of exhaustion smack dab in the middle of my work day.
This month, you will be receiving some tips on how to jumpstart your energy and production. Not only have these tips been shown to be beneficial in recent research, they all have worked, firsthand, for my clients, as well as myself.
Your fist tip of this month is to try a vegan or vegetarian diet. The simple act of replacing meat with some other plant-based protein such as quinoa, tofu, lentils and beans can make all the difference in our productivity levels and overall health. Switching it up gives your digestive system a little break and a chance to receive the fiber, vitamins, and minerals that it may have been missing all of this time!
Trying new and healthy vegan, or even vegetarian, dishes can be a great way to find new favorites and expand your pallet! I go over this in depth in my nutrition coaching program. A good place to start would be to try and replace just one of your omnivorous meals a week with a strictly vegan or vegetarian meal. Eventually, try to work your way up to one or two full days a week. Observe how you feel afterwards. Are you thinking a little bit clearer? Are you not as tired as you usually are in the middle of the day? Are you sleeping better? I have found the answer to each of these questions have been yes!
